cvat Posted November 8, 2008 #6 Share Posted November 8, 2008 Wasn´t Kathrina the same cat. It isn´t probably a very nice feeling at sea!
YOW Posted November 8, 2008 #7 Share Posted November 8, 2008 Not great to be in at sea, but then ships have already avoided this storm. Far worse to be on land, especially in Cuba which has already been battered by storms this year, and where resources are much thinner.
C 2 C Posted November 10, 2008 #8 Share Posted November 10, 2008 From the Celebrity website this morning: Tropical Storm Paloma - (Miami) - Celebrity Cruises is closely monitoring the path and progress of Tropical Storm Paloma to ensure our guests enjoy safe and comfortable cruises, and to make certain our ships steer clear of the storm. The safety of our guests and crew members is always our foremost concern. Currently, Celebrity Cruises has no ships being impacted by the storm and is not altering any itineraries due to tropical weather.
7leagueboots Posted November 10, 2008 #9 Share Posted November 10, 2008 Today's USAToday cruise Log has a relaltive up-to-date posting on the ships that have rescheduled ports and what the new ports will be. Some ships will not alter ports, but reverse the order in which they visit. I suspect Cruise Critic also has it somewhere, but I saw it when I was reading the morning news online.
