I am going on my first cruise on the Pride for Christmas. I have been haunting this site for about 3 months! I know I will love it no matter what. The food could have the selection of Burger King and have the same quality AND I would still be happy! Glad to join all the people who like Carnival!

Just one question that may or may not have been answered (after looking through pages of threads, they all start to blend together). Concerning the Lido buffet...are there any vegetarian selections available there or am I better off at the dining room? I am not a veggie but my hubby is in to salad and such. Any info would be great!!!!

Tell hubby there is always a great salad bar available in the Lido buffet.

They also have plenty of fruit available. And I agree you will love your first cruise!!!!

You can build one heck of a salad at the buffet... I've done it and spent 25 minutes grazing through the results... I even had a veggie stir fry one afternoon! It was killer!!!

There is a salad bar in the Lido buffet. There is always a vegetarian main course in the dining room as well. I think you and your husband will enjoy the various offerings.

He will have numerous options between veggie sandwiches, oriental food, italian/pasta.. plus the salad buffet. There are many themed food stations and he will have plenty to choose from without the meat.

Enjoy! If he eats Tuna (sometimes vegatarians do..) the deli makes a mean jalapeno tuna wrap.... yum

He'll be ok. I go veggie with at least two meals of the day, and found a lot of options on the Lido and Main DR. Pasta, stir frys, salads, rices, potato, etc.

The pizza place aft on the Lido deck is open 24/7 and they have Caesar salad as well as the pizza and calzones.

The deli makes a mean mozzarella and roasted pepper sandwich - I'm dying to have one when we get on board!

 

There are also bean salads on the lido buffet, mostly at lunch, and they are delicious.

 

Every night in the main dining room there is at least 1 vege entree. Very tasty too! You could also ask for the pasta as a main course.

 

And don't forget, the Chocolate Melting Cake is vege too!!!!!

There are many new and delicious vegetarian entres on the dinner menu now. DH and I cruised in April and I ordered some of the veggie dishes for dinner and I am not even a vegetarian! They have some kind of a stuffed chile pepper with veggies that was out of this world! By the way, the Pride is my favorite ship. It is beautiful and classy. You will LOVE IT! :p

I love that chile pepper! They also have a pork roast that's served over a lentil stew. I make my boys eat the pork and I get the lentils. Yum!

 

Oh, and did I mention that the Chocolate Melting Cake is vegetarian too?
