Hello, does Carnival have ATM's onboard, and how much is the surcharge for using them? Thank you.

Guests are able to withdraw funds and make balance inquiries on their checking and savings accounts while the ship is in port or at sea. Please note: The supply of money may be depleted prior to the end of the cruise. Following is a list of major credit cards and Networks accepted: Honor, Tyme, Shazam, American Express, Magic Line, Oath, Mac, Master Card (Cirrus for Non-U.S.), Visa (Plus), Nyce Pulse, Yankee and Alert.

There is a $5.50 fee per transaction for this service which is controlled by the bank sponsoring the ATM's, Bank Atlantic of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Just got off the Valor and it was $6 per transaction and the ATM's were out of money Friday (cruise ended Sunday).

Yeah,I was about to disagree with the op's because we just got off of the Legend and I heard someone moaning about the 6 bucks that the ATM just charged them.

The best thing to do is to bring enough cash so that you don't have to worry about those fees or God forbid, the ATM runs out of cash.

We bring traveler's checks in $100 increments and cash them for free at the Casino. I figure out how much money we need and bring a little extra. I deposit what is left in our bank account when we get home.

Great idea as most banks offer travelers checks for free to their customers.

AAA does that as well.

We did a 30 day cruise and the Casino ATM never ran out of cash.

On the flipside I have done 3 and 4 days cruises and people were reporting the ATM was empty by the final evening.

People on a 30 cruise budget differently than those on shorter cruises.

I was on the Glory 10/18 to 10/25 and the charge was $6.00 at the ATM. You can get cash for free if you debit your sail and sign card at the slot machines! Just debit sail & sign, and when the credit is posted to your machine, cash out! Free & easy.

Can you cash traveler checks at the pusor's desk? This will be our first cruise so I was just wondering. If so are they going to charge us extra to cash them? Thanks in advance for your answer.

The purser's desk will cash travelers checks for free also. The line at the Casino cashier is usually much shorter.
