w&k Posted November 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2008 If you were fine last year, you should be OK. We have headed way down south in the end of February/beginning of March for the last three years, and are going again for 2009. We usually find water temps from 76-79 F. I am now up to: 2-mil full 1-piece & fuzzy skin (same warmth as a 2-mil) 3-mil beanie & lycra hood booties & lycra sox 2-mil neoprene/suede gloves (where permitted) ..and I still end up freezing my patootie off at the end of the second dive. My DH, who NEVER gets cold, decided that this year, he wanted a hood to take with him. His wetsuit is a 2/3, and I'm thinking about asking Santa for one of those. We usually do two 60 min or more dives back-2-back, so we have plenty of time to get cold. It couldn't have anything to do with getting old, I'm sure. ;) Have a great trip!
