Adventure Ocean/Babysitting Report

Hi all, I just returned from an 8 night cruise on the Explorer of the Seas. Adventure Ocean was absolutely fabulous. My son is 6 and was in the "Explorer" group. There was so much to do. He was in a Pirate Parade, he was in a talent show where he told a joke and received the very great gold medal.....he participated in events like "trash the room" and slime the counselor. All I can say is BRAVO to Adventure Ocean. It not only made his cruise great, but gave DH and myself a nice relaxing time too. Funny part was that we tried to pick him up a couple of nights and he "wasn't done yet". :eek: We had to stay awake for him!!!

 

I tried to sign up for in room babysitting.....after 10 p.m.....figuring my little guy could use some extra sleep. I went to Guest Services on the first day. I signed up for almost every night. I received 2 calls....first one saying they haven't found anyone yet....the second call said there was no babysitting available on this cruise because the people who were certified were switching shifts and there was noone available in the evening. I was disappointed at the time, however, it really worked out as my son loved Adventure Ocean late night.
