Dear Abster70: For the extra money - do a Balcony Outside Stateroom. It is SO romantic on wonderful nights. You will kick yourself if you don't. Regarding excursions go into the Princess.com website and click on shore excursions up at the top. That will tell you everything you need to know.

Have a wonderful time.

I have to vote with the balcony fans -- well worth the extra money, in our opinion. If necessary, I would try to cut back on other items such as shore excursions, and splurge on the balcony. It really enhances our cruises -- we sit out to see the sun come up and go down, we have at least breakfast out there, we always share a quiet drink before dinner while admiring the ocean going by, and we always go out to gaze at the moon on the ocean before bed. We also sit out there sometimes in the afternoon, just looking at the ports before departure. Of course, we aren't big fans of the ship's shore excursions, anyway. There's always a lot of time spent waiting for the bus to fill up or for one or two to make it back to the bus at every stop, plus they're way overpriced. Some research on these boards and the guidebooks will always find you a better deal --- and sometimes, the best idea is just a trip to a local beach or some time strolling around the port. Good luck with your decisions !!! Planning is half the fun----
