Waterproof Camera Question

I will be doing the Dolphin, Push Pull and Swim thru Carnival Cruise. I thought I read that waterproof cameras are allowed. I was wondering if anyone used one while in the water. Or is it too much trouble trying to hold on to it and swim. I know they take professional photos, but I would like to take some myself.

I bought a cheap underwater disposable when we were in Hawaii. The pictures are really good. It had a rubberized wrist strap, so it isn't too hard to hold onto.

I know that you cannot take them in if you go to Dolphinaris. I am not sure about Chank.

My neice took one at the Chankanaab dolphin swim. Didn't seem to be a problem for her and she got some GREAT close up shots!!
