Shaylot Posted November 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2008 We'll be cruising on the NCL Sky with a toddler and I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to which was better, their cribs or the pack n' play they offer. Any tips about this or how to get the little one to bed on a cruise would be appreciated... Thanks!
bigpuma Posted November 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 14, 2008 I don't know about NCL but on RCI their cribs are pack'n'plays so I would just use theirs.
Shaylot Posted November 15, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted November 15, 2008 Thanks bigpuma. I was told that on the NCL I had a choice of a crib or pack n' play, so I'm not sure which is better...
rossbabsy Posted November 17, 2008 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2008 My daughter is traveling with us and her 1 year old son on NCL GEM. She was told that if she opted for the crib, they also give a hight chair (its a set). She has chosen the crib. Hope this helps.

It was actually a mini crib. In 2008, since she was a little older, we used the pack n play. I liked the PnP because we were able to break it down during the day and hide it under the bed. Whatever you decide, be sure to bring a crib sheet and blanket from home. The ones they provide are way too big! Good luck:)
Shaylot Posted November 17, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted November 17, 2008 Thanks for the replies! I hadn't thought of that... I have read that the PnP was kind of filthy - was that your experiemce?
KerCar Posted November 17, 2008 #7 Share Posted November 17, 2008 Thanks for the replies! I hadn't thought of that...I have read that the PnP was kind of filthy - was that your experiemce? The one we had was slightly worn looking, but clean. Before putting DD in it, I made sure to wipe it down with some anti bacterial wipes. If you do get one that's dirty looking don't hesitate to ask your room steward for a new one:)

If you do get one that's dirty looking don't hesitate to ask your room steward for a new one:) That's my plan (re: wipes) and I suppose it can't hurt to ask for a better one if the one I get looks too yuck. Thanks for putting my mind at ease!
gtalum Posted November 18, 2008 #9 Share Posted November 18, 2008 How old is your toddler? You may consider letting him (her?) sleep on a convertible sofa if it's available. Our just-turned-two-year-old did fine on the convertible sofa on Carnival Glory in September.
