Ok our flight arrives in Miami at 8:10am the morning of our cruise on the Destiny. What's the best way to get to the port and the cost? What is there to do in that area before we get on ship? And what is the earliest that you can get on the ship? Thanks

It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the port from the airport and I just paid $24 to get from the port to the airport one week ago so that should be about average.

Embarkation began at about 11:15-11:30...what to do for those few hours? Don't have a clue...sorry. enjoy your cruise:D

Cheapest-- taxi and there will be plenty!

I really don't think you will have time to stop anywhere on your way to the ship, especially if you want to board by about 11:30.

Now, if you don't mind getting to the ship later, Bayside Market is kinda on the way or you can take a detour to south beach, for atleast a few pics and so you can atleast say that you have been there LOL!(also almost on the way)

Have a great cruise:)

Your best bet is to just take your time and hang out at the airport. There are several restaurants where you can have a light breakfast and people watch. Then cab it to the port around 10:45. You'll have short wait at most to board.

There is nothing at the port. So don't head there too soon. As far as stopping at Bayside, not reasonable as you have all your luggage with you. And then you'll have to take another cab to the port.

Your other option is to just hire a cab for an hour to use some of the time and have them drive you around. But that will cost quite a bit. Not sure it's worth that. But that could be an option if you have never been to the Maimi area.
