What do they do for Christmas on the Gem? Trees, Santa, etc.?

Nerve sailed during Christmas but I read on this site NCL has the ships beautifully decorated.

Not sure about Santa but I would guess they would have something for the kids.

I cruised on the gem last Christmas, christmas trees, ginger bread house displays, sang christmas songs on christmas eve, and mid night mass. Everything was very nice.

Thank you my family will be on the Gem this year. How where the ports on XMas and Xmas eve? Any other holiday info, did NCL give a little gift like RCL does?

We were on the ship the week of New Years on the Gem and

the decarations and the big tree were still up so they do

do a nice christmas theme onboard

Great Stirrup Cay is NCL's island, beach and BBQ on Christmas Eve. In Nassau on Christmas day they have some kind of all night parade (Christmas Eve thru early Christmas day). WE were told the stores were going to open later in the day. We went on a glass bottom boat tour. When the tour was finished we walked 2 blocks to downtown. The bleachers were still up, garbage everywere, and stores were not open yet. I believe it was 11:30. I think they opened later but we just went back to the boat.

 

We did have a great time on this cruise.
