welovestars Posted April 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2004 I know that we tip the waiters for every night whether we eat in the dining room or not. But, if we choose to eat in the windjammer instead of the dining room or say get a burger or pizza, do we tip there also? Are we supposed to tip at breakfast and lunch or is everything included in the $10.00 per person per day more or less depending on service? (including the room steward of coarse.) superjerryw Posted April 19, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2004 All of the waiters and asst. waiters work in the dining room at dinner time. For breakfast and lunch they don't need them all in the dining room since it is open seating. As a result, many of them work in the Windjammer instead. Your tips for the dining room staff cover their service whether it is in the dining room at night or the Windjammer. The exception would be at dinner time in the Windjammer as the staff that is there at dinner is not working in the dining room at all and is not getting any tips. These are usually asst. waiters that are rotated to the Windjammer for dinner every few weeks so any tips would be appreciated by them. <applet code="countdown.class" CODEBASE="http://*************/java-sys" width="203" height="25"> <param name="font" value="lcdb0"> <param name="year" value=2004> <param name="month" value=03> <param name="day" value=19> <param name="hour" value=17> </applet> Donuts, is there anything they can't do.... gkrebs Posted April 19, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2004 Geggie, Anytime you receive exceptional service an extra tip is appropriate and appreciated. I was not aware of the Asst waiter in the Windjammer at night not being apart of the Pool for tips. Thanks for the info. AntonJ Posted April 20, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 20, 2004 Is there a charge now for eating in the Windjammer for dinner? When we are in a port late we usually choose to dine there instead of the main dining room. We have always tipped but didn't know there was a charge. I realize there is a charge for Portofinos and Chops.
