MemoryMaker2669 Posted April 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2004 Bringing this over here, since the Ports of Call boards are too slow and I want more answers. Hope you guys don't mind. Anyway, I have booked with Phil, after much researched, but after emailing with him, I feel like I am back to square one. He won't do a private tour he said, they are shared. I am OK with this..some. Keep in mind I have a group of 28!! Does anyone know what kind of vehicle does he use? How many people does he take at a time? Also, he said he will do whatever tour HE wants to and will NOT let us choose...this I do have a problem with. We want a shorter tour, only 3 hours max. Anyone know how long his tours run? DMorris Posted April 19, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2004 I have never heard of Phil either. I used another tour operator who did a private tour for the same price. We had a group of 14 and it was awesome. MemoryMaker2669 Posted April 19, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted April 19, 2004 I learned about Phil Lafayette on the Ports of Call board, getting great reviews. We booked with Peat first, but we want HIM and he will only do the tour if you do HIS itinarary, which we aren't interested in...too long! DMorris Posted April 19, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2004 Ionie McBeam does a great tour and is not expensive at all. Hers is a short tour also. Takes you right to the falls and picks you up afterwards. If you don't want to do the short city tour she can drop you off wherever you want. Highly recommend her. MemoryMaker2669 Posted April 19, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted April 19, 2004 We are just the opposite, we want the city tour and NOT the falls. I will look more into that though, thanks!
