Anyone get sick on the water?

Going to Cozumel in Feb. Just wondering, with all the drinks flowing at Paradise Beach et al., does anyone get sick on the water anymore? When we were in Cancun several years ago, we were told to only have bottled drinks, no ice, no salad (washed in water), etc. if we were to leave the resort zone. I guess things must be better now.

The water will not be an issue at any of the beach clubs, hotels or restaurants. Cozumel has a local company that filters the water for most of the islands businesses and locals these days. The small dive shop we use has bottled water with their logo on it, kind of high class for us divers, huh.
