stopgo Posted November 27, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 27, 2008 There are plenty of hangers and closet space, any more details are on the P/O website.
humpy Posted November 28, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2008 hi yorkshire lad 7 weve been on oceana 4 times now and always stay in an inside cabin, the wardrobe is big enough for two people, there are plenty of hangers, but they are on fixed loops so when you remove them from the wardrobe you cant then hang it back up unless you put it back in.there are a couple of fold down shelves in the wardrobe, and three wire basket drawers.there are two bedside tables in between the beds each with three drawers.there is a dressing table with six drawers, and a large mirror above.this is where you will find the tea and coffee making facilities.hope this helps happy sailings and enjoy oceana she is a lovely ship to be your first..humpy
idparky Posted November 30, 2008 #4 Share Posted November 30, 2008 Oceana does not have the best storage facilities in cabins but they are OK. The reason the space is limited is because of the previous use of the ship by Princess. US cruises tend to be shorter than the 2 weeks we seem to take, therefore US passengers did not need as much storage space. We managed on a 2 week cruise, but you will need to take extra hangers or ask your steward for some (they only provide wire hangers though). stopgo Posted December 1, 2008 #5 Share Posted December 1, 2008 Just a quick tip take an extra jacket with big pockets, then you can use the said pockets to put your socks in. Thus saveing bedside table space.

stopgo Posted December 3, 2008 #9 Share Posted December 3, 2008 Your off topic again Gerry, the topic is space in Oceana cabins.
EtherlyCC Posted December 3, 2008 #10 Share Posted December 3, 2008 Just a quick tip take an extra jacket with big pockets, then you can use the said pockets to put your socks in. Thus saveing bedside table space. But surely the big jacket takes up more space in your lockers/cabin?

jfhandel Posted December 12, 2008 #12 Share Posted December 12, 2008 We did 12 nights on Oceana, the two of us and a baby (with all of the gubbins, including food and bottled water!) in an inside cabin. We had room to spare..:) (although to be fair the buggy stayed outside the cabin)
chirpy007 Posted December 12, 2008 #13 Share Posted December 12, 2008 Im just about to book a balcony cabin on Oceana. A review l read said the balcony cabins are smaller thn an OV becuase the balcony eats into the cabin space. According to the P&O brochure though balcony cabins are larger. Any help

Any help I don't have my brochure to hand so I can't comment on the general statement. However, there are a few outside cabins forward on one of the decks that mainly has balcony cabins, that are the length of balcony cabin + the balcony itself. They're referred to as 'larger' outside or oceanview cabins. So, yes, the cabin part of a balcony cabin would be smaller than these larger cabins. But there aren't many of these cabins, and they cost just about as much as a balcony cabin.

A review l read said the balcony cabins are smaller thn an OV becuase the balcony eats into the cabin space. According to the P&O brochure though balcony cabins are larger. Any help The standard balcony cabin on Oceana is 170 sq ft....which isn't that big...the balconies are very narrow, however, or friends had one last month and managed okay. WE had a mini suite which was about 325sq ft, but we still struggled for wardrobe space...the mini suites have a 'walk in' wardrobe which you have to reverse out of as theres not room to swing a cat, let alone a human body:D I do believe that the cabin square footage mentioned in the brochures/web sites include the balcony in the sizes mentioned Karenx
