Frequency of High Surf Cancelling Port Call?

Family-of-4

Recommended Posts

We just got back from The Ruby Princess last Sat. we had the opposite happen to us. I too was concerend about the surf & said if we went to the newer port to tendor we would stay on the ship. Got there all was well tendered from downtown. Calm seas, the calmest I have ever seen. By the time we tendered the surf & picked up a little. We took a cab straight to Seven Mile Beach & paid to parasail. We went to Red Sail sports & while we were waiting we sat the the beach bar at Grand Cayman Beach Suites for a drink. Shortly after the guy comes over to us refunding our money that the winds had gotten to strong. Plan B we went to town to just walk around & had planned on the Hard Rock for lunch. Got there & they wouldn't seat us. They had gotten a call that the Ruby was calling everyone back to the ship to get as many tendered back as possible because the swells had gotten so bad. We were back on board by 1:00. Not only did we not leave early but the ship pulled out late.

Never been to GC before & had this happen in reverse LOL.
