Dec. 7 '08 sailing changing from assign. to guaranteed

Sailing on the Freedom on Dec. 7 '08. We have an assigned cabin on Deck 10. Has anyone changed to guaranteed and been assigned the same cabin. We like our location but the savings is tempting.

Well, at this time,unless its an upgraded category,you cant change............but sounds like even if you can,you may not be happy with your assignment..............sure,some people get back the same cabin,but its a gamble..

I am going on the Serenade 1-3-09. I was in the most desired corner aft and switched to a guarantee cabin. After much thought it was worth the $700 savings. I have been assigned a cabin and I am now in a cabin on deck 8. Yes, it is a bit of a disappointment but heck I could take another cruise for the $700 savings.
