I have been to HMC twice (Once on HAL and once on CCL) I will always rent a cabana when on HMC! It is nice to have the little shade, the chairs, mister, snorkel equipment etc.....It is a little pricey (I believe around 300.00) but well worth it. IMO

The price indluce 4 people but we always had our friends stop by and say hello as well, its never a problem

On HAL we rented it with a Butler, very nice, but CCL does not offer a butler with it.

Either way, I Hope you enjoy

Has anyone ever rented / booked the private large cabana at Halfmoon Cay? If so, how many people will it hold?

How close were you to the beach for swimming?

How much was the cost for the entire day?

Thanks,

Glenn

Are you looking for the large cabana (called Oasis) that holds up to 25 people or just the regular ones that hold 4 ???

We paid $225 for 4 people for a cabana. Worth every penny!

What does the butler do in those cabana's with 4 people?

The Butler is a nice way to spoil yourself.

We had everything brought to us.; we ordered off of a different menu (we had fillet mignon and shrimp) it included drinks and he even brought the Champagne out to the water for us.

It was a special occasion and it was nice to have that special touch

There is only one large cabana and I think its about 1000.00 for the first 10 people then after that it is 99.00 per person. You can not book the cabana's in advance so someone would have to get on the ship first thing and then wait for the Pursers desk to open up

You could rent two of the smaller cabanas side by side. Some of them are close enough to do that and then just add the few extra people. They don't count the number of people and police it at all.

well we would be looking for a large cabana, there will be 11 of us total. ANyone know the price of those?

My group was the 1st in this cabanna back last May. I think it was a 1000. We had all the food you could want. We drank them out of liqour but they went and got more for us. We did have some tender issues. It was a mess at the tender time and we were late getting out there so they gave us extra time.

It was awesome. Your own hot tub, easy access in and out of water. Very own bartender. They pretty much ask you when you want to eat and they cook lunch for you on spot. Food was awesome. They had people from boat come and give massages(for a fee). IPOD has some good tunes playing. They had snorkel gear also.

From what I "remember"... it was the best day on the cruise. We definately got our moneys worth. Im pretty sure they never had 10 people drink that much since.

Employees from the ship came and hung out with us. One guy just stripped down from his "whites" and was swimming with us in his tighty whiteys.. FUN was had by all!!

At the end of the day we tipped 200$ or so and we had maybe 6 beers leftover from when they reloaded bar and we even took those back with us.. they were very nice!!

twinkletoes4445 - Thanks for all the great info. The private oasis sounds so great. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we get a chance to rent it on our May 09 cruise! It'll be nice to get that extra pampering.

I hope you're able to snag the big cabana! I've seen pictures and read the reviews and it does sound (and look) like you'll be pampered.

Have a fun cruise. :)
