"PokerPro" (auto) on CB last month. I didn't bother. It's not the same game without a live dealer. And inevitably you get someone who just can't figure out how to make the touch screen work properly and goes all-in with a 9-3 offsuit and then flops a boat. Man that sucks.

Are you saying then that this is what you base your cruise on?

So you have played with me:p I have found that after the 3rd day it seems to be the same 15 or so that play, so the games get pretty good.

The rake on my two Princess cruises was 10% up to $6. On Sapphire the structure was 3-6 limit (July 2007) while it was 1-2 no limit on Dawn (December 2007).

With the poker pro tables, every seat has a touch screen monitor that you use to view your cards and act on your hand.

There is also a large screen in the middle of the table which shows the community cards, the pot size, each players stack size, and which player the action is on.

The use of the poker pro tables has not stopped me from playing while on a cruise, but I do prefer traditional tables. I recently stayed at the Excalibur, and they are the only casino in Vegas with the poker pro tables. I did play a little at Excalibur, but I spent most of my time at The MGM, across the street, where they use real cards and dealers.

Thanks BBQ - trust I'll pick it up fast - can't be that bad !!

pretty loose play on the ships?

I too prefer the live dealer and real chips , but then again the automated tables probably do speed play up- which should translate to better results for a good player.

Wish I could play more live - My DW's occupation gets in the way a little.

She's a responsible gaming specialist for the casinos here. Not exactly a good thing for me to put in too many session there
