we are sailing on the solstice next april, we have two cabins 9211, 9109 next to each other. they are verandas on the port side between the hump, and the inner part. since our balconys are on the angled part will it be hard of difficult, to open the balcony partitions since they are angled??

thanks

You shouldn't have any problems at all. The glass partition will most likely swing and latch into 9109. BTW, we were on the Starboard side a couple of decks up in 1606. If it's the mirror image to 1601 and 1603, which I believe it is, 9109 will have the huge veranda with the bed by the balcony, while 9211 will have a smaller, but larger than normal balcony with the bed near the bath. Now you can fight over who gets which stateroom. :)

Found this earlier - sounded interesting. I had saved this from another thread. Seems like good info!

"I personally LOVED my C1 hump cabin #1243 - about triple the size of a standard balcony - it was HUGE!!!!! Literally the largest non-suite balcony on the ship! The balcony was great for hosting cocktail parties - we had 25+ people out there one day! Being on the aft part of the hump there was virtually no wind issue to deal with. We got sun when we wanted it, and shade if desired as well. Due to balcony depth there were no privacy issues related to the angled shape.

There are 58 +/- cabins with the same size balcony we had - they are:

Resort Deck: 2105, 2109, 2106, 2110

Penthouse Deck: 1547, 1552, 1601, 1605, 1606, 1610

Sky Deck: 1075, 1044, 1231, 1243, 1247, 1108, 1120, 1124

Panorama Deck: 9155, 9192, 9209, 9215, 9237, 9241, 9266, 9270, 9292, 9296

Vista Deck: 8199, 8162, 8255, 8259, 8281, 8285, 8228, 8232, 8254, 8258

Sunrise Deck: 7159, 7206, 7215, 7219, 7241, 7245, 7260, 7264, 7286, 7290

Continental Deck: 6155, 6156, 6209, 6215, 6237, 6241, 6210, 6214, 6236, 6240

Most of these are on the hump, but some are forward where the ship starts to indent. The rooms run the range from Category 2C, 1A, C1, or AQ (with the exception of 6209/6210 which are categorized as 07 Obstucted Balcony - great balcony at a small price!). There are also many cabins adjacent to the ones I listed that also have oversized balconies that are about double the size of normal ones, but I would go for the triple sized ones first :D

Hope this helps!

Scott

P.S. - I'd also tend to choose the ones that angle to the aft over the ones that angle towards the bow as the forward facing ones could tend to get windy ..."

Anyone been on Sotstice in stateroom 2144 an angled balcony next to the aft balconies but on the starboard side? It looks like it could be a slightly larger balcony from looking at the deck plans. There is a similar one on the other side 2149. Already booked 2144 so I hope it's OK  Any info. welcome.

ps. there is no mention of this stateroom in the sticky at the top of the page

:)I have just booked Cabin #1120. It is exactly opposite this cabin on the starboard side of the ship.

Somone please tell me if I can look forward to the same size cabin as #1243.

All the cabins are the same size. The balcony is the larger one.

OOPS! My error. I meant to ask if the balconies of #1243 and #1120 would be the same size?

Yes, they are the same size. The only difference, 1243 has the bed near the bath, and 1120 had the bed near the balcony.

Hi, we are thinking of booking the eclipse for next summer and have been offered a few cabins, the one we are interested in is cc 9241, can anyone tell me much about this cabin ? is it quiet ? not too far from stairs? is the balcony good? as it is connecting, do you hear anything from next door ? the other cabins are on sky deck, 1054, 1207 1217. thanks everyone for reading and looking forward to replies

Okay, I have read all the posts, and checked out all the links, and still can not verify if our cabin is one of the oversized balconies; so I am just going to ask, does anyone out there know if 9366 is an over sized balcony? According to the floor plan it is, but as I have read the plans can be off. While I know I leave in just three short weeks, I just am an inpatient person!

Thanks :D:confused::D

#9295 is the mirror image to your cabin. If you look at the sticky at the top of the page re Solstice Cabin info, cabin #9295 is listed as being a normal balcony size

We returned yesterday from Europe on Equinox and just wanted to comment on the balcony listing above. We were in 8179 (1A) and it has the largest angled balcony (facing aft) of the hump balconies on port (left)side. BE SURE to remember that the cabins on Deck 8 are wrongly numbered -- in other words, 8179 is at the location of 8181 shown on Celebrity's plans.

It was a great cruise and the ship is absolutely beautiful:D

Now I have to ask - we are booked in 9366 in January on Equinox - was your balcony bigger? The ship diagram looks like it is, but I suspect that's wrong. Let me know!

Thanks!

Hi everyone!

I would like to know if anyone can tell us which cabin would be best for us. We want the bed to be closest to the balcony and a larger balcony, these are our choices...8199, 8253, 8257, 8281, 8285, 8343. Also would like a balcony without the overhand, I am a sun lover, lol!

....one more question, would you opt for the Aqua class for $100 bucks more. and sacrafice the smaller balcony? Is Blu really worth it?

We LOVED Blu and Aqua Class. But you said in a previous post that you love the sun and don't like the overhang so Aqua Class would be out I would think. All of those cabins have the overhang. It is worther it to me though. :)

We were on the Solstice for the 11/23 thru 11/30 sailing and we had a 1A cabin 9239 which has a larger angled balcony then a regular balcony, the cabin next to us 9237 which is next to the 10 cabins that are on the hump has the largest balcony.

so on the 9th fl the 4 angled balconies are

#9237- largest

#9239- 2nd largest

#9241- 3rd largest

#9243- 4th largest

DAN

We were in 9241. It is the same size as 9237. 9239 and 9243 are smaller but still larger than normal.

I t goes every other cabin on the slant. There's a great post with cabin size I'll look for. Also there is a sticky at the top with Solstice cabins. Go to the thread and on that thread click search then enter your cabin #. Many of them are there.
