AlbertusMagnus Posted December 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2008 How did the Solstice perform crossing the Atlantic to Ft. Lauderdale. I have not seen any reports. Our last TA was on the Mediterranea, a 92500 ton ship, not as tall as Solstice, but the cruise was absolutely marvelous. It took 15 ft. seas beautifully. Is it possible that the stabalizers weren't functioning as designed? If so, this will be corrected, I'm certain. We're booked on the TA in April. Hopefully they will have more to do on sea days than I have heard comments about onboard entertainment. Was looking forward to the cruise, and still am, however, some of the responses have been disturbing. Mille grazie, Alberto
mike@sea Posted December 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2008 No reports avialable because the ship sailed "empty" to FLL ( other than crew ).
chessbriar Posted December 3, 2008 #3 Share Posted December 3, 2008 The ship sailed with crew only and had horrible seas. The water was so rough, it was even splashing on the grass forcing patches to be replaced. Seas tend to be rougher in fall than spring. You should be just fine
