waterbugohio Posted December 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2008 Just returned from the Serenade on the 22nd. I decided against buying the scrapbook onboard and now wish I had. Does anyone know if these can be purchased online?? I checked the gifts and gear on the RCI website and didn't see them anywhere
jkg227 Posted December 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2008 I'm going on the 12/21 sailing on the Independence. I love to scrapbook, and would probably buy the scrapbooking supplies. I'm not sure if they are cruise specific....but, I could purchase an extra set and mail it to you when we return. Are the scrapbooking supplies sold as a set, or individually? Any idea of the price????
waterbugohio Posted December 3, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted December 3, 2008 Thanks for the offer, however that is the problem. We walked past them and didn't have time to stop. I wanted to go check them out later in the week and the time was never available. I thought at the time I would just come home and get stuff, now I can't find anything I like. I did buy one book in a light blue color (reminds me of the water) that may be the best i can find. I also found some cruise papers and stickers in the store and I know of one website where I can buy stuff. I just wanted to check out what RCI had. wrp96 Posted December 3, 2008 #4 Share Posted December 3, 2008 You might check on e-Bay to see if anyone is selling theirs. On my last cruise, one of the people on our Roll Call bought a set onboard.
waterbugohio Posted December 3, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted December 3, 2008 thanks for the suggestion. I did check ebay. I found the paper and sticker packages but no books. I know two people on our roll call bought them, I am going to see if they will at least get me photos of them to see if I like them.
FrancescaH Posted December 3, 2008 #6 Share Posted December 3, 2008 The start from scratch scrapbook sold on board for the Caribbean is basically a stylized map of the tropics with photo and title windows based on this paper.. Scrap your trip used to sell the matching paper but I don't see it in the cruise section although they still use it as the image link.
waterbugohio Posted December 3, 2008 Author #7 Share Posted December 3, 2008 So what does the actual book look like. I can find paper I like, just not a book.

waterbugohio Posted December 3, 2008 Author #9 Share Posted December 3, 2008 while the books are nice, they are nothing wonderful. which means i can now settle on the plan blue book I bought, and hopefully get started!! thanks for all the info
FrancescaH Posted December 3, 2008 #10 Share Posted December 3, 2008 I have bought it once but have not again. I bought a book while it was on sale that had nice shades of blue months before our last cruise. I did buy the sticker pack while on board for that book but won't be starting it till after the holidays so I haven't even really looked at it yet. cruiserbryce Posted December 3, 2008 #12 Share Posted December 3, 2008 my wife always buys 1 pack on the RC ships because they are unique, but there are packs at Michael's that are just as nice, just arent RC specific

JordanFam Posted December 3, 2008 #14 Share Posted December 3, 2008 I just found the exact set that was sold on our ship online, and the company's website states: "Due to our contracts with the major cruise lines – these kits and albums are sold EXCLUSIVELY on-board the ships." So e-bay is probably the only option. That website by the way is: http://www.3birdsdesign.com/products.html
cage keeper Posted December 3, 2008 #15 Share Posted December 3, 2008 I can't walk past scrapbooking supplies without buying them. On our RCL cruise in 2006 they had nothing. I bought the 12x12 photo ablum and replaced the inserts. Looking foward to buying supplies on our up coming RCL cruise.
