Spirit class ships

My family and I are considering the 8 day Southern Caribbean cruise on the Miracle in March 09. I am wondering why Carnival will not add the Movie screen on the Spirit class ships. Does anyone know if Carnival has given a reason? It would be great since the Miracle is going into drydock in early March!!:)

I believe I read somewhere that it has to do with the way the lido deck is set up...I don't remember where I read that though,

The Spirit class ships have two pool with a little tower thing and elevated walkway between them. It would only be one side or the other that could see the screen, and neither side is that big once you subtract out the area covered by the pool itself. That may be why.

Thanks! I went on the Legend in 06 but I just figured Carnival could work around it! Darn! I would like to go on a Carnival ship to experience the movies under the stars but I also want to go to St Lucia. Decisions! Decisions!! Thanks for all of your help!:rolleyes:

The Lido deck just isn't set up for it to work well with the two smaller pools and the one level Lido. I actually think I slightly prefer it that way rather than the tiered thing the Conquest class ships have.

 

DH and i looked really forward to the movie screen prior to our first Liberty cruise since he's a huge movie buff but never ended up watching a movie on either sailing. They either showed stuff we didn't want to see, or the times conflicted with dinner and the live entertainment we wanted to see.

 

We also thought the picture quality was not great.
