no penguins in alaska, other than the occasional stray.

 

though...........about 15 years ago the forest service was out reaching for comments on an environmental impact statement they were processing. some one created a bunch of comment postcards and distributed them to offboarding juneau cruise ship passengers. the fs was flooded with comment cards wondering why the impacts on the mendenhall penguins had not been addressed in the eis.

Is Antarctica only place to do penquin viewing? Any tour companies offer that tour? We are doing southbound cruisetour w/HAL in July, 2009.

 

No, you can also see wild penguins in South Africa.

 

Edinburgh (Scotland) Zoo has a huge number of penguins.
