Freeport cab to Port Lucaya question

The cabs in Freeport to Port Lucaya.... Are they all vans that hold 12+ people? We have a 4year old - is it safe/legal to just put him in the middle between us? That will be our only cab ride (there & back) on the trip so we won't be bringing a booster or car seat. Is that the norm with those taxis? Just pile everyone in? Do they have seatbelts? How long is the ride? THANKS

I was ther in August. It all depends on what kind of taxi you pick.On the way to Port Lucaya we all were "shoehorned" into one of those mini vans with the sliding door and no AC or seatbelts. We almost needed them the way he drove.Everybody could not wait to get out ! On the way back to the ship we got almost a new full size Ford passenger van with AC.The ride is about 30 to 45 minutes, did not time it.
