Any Luck Getting Passport with 1 Parent??

Long story short I have no idea where to find my sons father so we can go together to get his passport, haven't seen him in over 6 year (son is 7), and we were never married so there are no kind of court orders.

So I know they have a form you can complete and give a statement on why you can not obtain the other parents permission but has anyone actually used this and gotten the passport? I just don't want to be out $85.00 if it's going to be denied anyway. We are cruising DCL in June'09.

Yes, some people here have had to do that and have gotten the passport. If I can find the exact thread, I will post it here.
