jane02 Posted December 6, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2008 This is a question via my 78 year old stepfather who is travelling with us on Dec 19th. He hates wearing jackets and won't attend formal nights. However, he is wanting to know how formal the dress code is for Christmas Day and should he pack a jacket in case? My DH always packs a jacket and from memory, some of the alternative restaurants require men to wear a jacket. Can someone enlighten me here so I can pass the information on to him. NanD Posted December 6, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2008 Hi Jane~ We are on this cruise together. FYI, my understanding is our second formal night is on Christmas. (I do know the first one is the 20th) Since your stepfather has an interest in Christmas protocol, I think it's all going to be one in the same on this trip. That said, it might be felt preferable to adhere to the dress code outside the main dining room, but not enforced. Hopefully someone with more experiences will come along to add more insight, but this is what I've come away with. Also, I hope you'll consider coming to our Meet & Greet on the 20th. Let me know on our Roll Call. Looking forward to the 19th! Nan
