sunsetme Posted November 9, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2004 I can use points to get a precruise hotel in Miami. My choices are the Conrad (nice property but in the financial district), Doubletree BB ( a middle of the road choice but most practical), or Fontainebleau ( a resort but out of the way). I am flying in the night before really wont have any time to spend except the Sat. morning before the cruise leaves. Any opinions? There is a difference of how many points each would use but I don't care about that.
thereuare Posted November 9, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2004 I would forget the points for this trip and use Priceline. You can likely get a 3* hotel in the downtown area (convenient to the ship) for under $50/nite... save the points for when they'll represent some better value. Rare BamaVol Posted December 3, 2004 #4 Share Posted December 3, 2004 If you decide to use points, check out the Hilton Honors forum on Flyertalk.com Lots of reviews on MIA and FLL properties.
sgriff17 Posted December 3, 2004 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2004 There is an embassy suites at the Miami airport. Remember that you can stay at Hampton Inns, Embassy Suites, etc. too! But I would use priceline through www.biddingfortravel.com We got 2 rooms at the Embassy for $55/night!
