Going on Star princess in Feb 2009 to Antartica.Only outside cabin available was E 216 ,so booked it .Anyone know how obstructed is the view.We did go on a waiting list in case another outside cabin became available but haven't heard anything yet .

E216 is about half obstructed, but not fully, especially looking aft. Looking straight out, you're going to see orange.

 

To give you an idea, attached is a picture of E219 (which is the equivalent port side cabin to E218). The left side of this picture is the tender which will be obstructing your cabin.

 

For another perspective, I've also attached the side picture from the Golden (identical structural sister to the Star). The window you see totally unobstructed between the big tender and the little one is the equivalent to E218 (the picture actually is showing E219). The next one forward would be the equivalent to E216.

Did you sail in cabin E216? If so, did the noise from the promenade bother you? I am currently booked in E218 on the Star Princess in September. I would appreciate your input regarding the cabin location. Thanks.
