E216 is about half obstructed, but not fully, especially looking aft. Looking straight out, you're going to see orange. To give you an idea, attached is a picture of E219 (which is the equivalent port side cabin to E218). The left side of this picture is the tender which will be obstructing your cabin. For another perspective, I've also attached the side picture from the Golden (identical structural sister to the Star). The window you see totally unobstructed between the big tender and the little one is the equivalent to E218 (the picture actually is showing E219). The next one forward would be the equivalent to E216. Hope this helps!

2Nerds Posted March 26, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 26, 2009 Did you sail in cabin E216? If so, did the noise from the promenade bother you? I am currently booked in E218 on the Star Princess in September. I would appreciate your input regarding the cabin location. Thanks.
due2cruise Posted March 27, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted March 27, 2009 Sorry I can't help you.We managed to have an outside cabin on Plaza Deck -with unobstructed view. Great position.Fantastic cruise to Antartica.
BurBunny Posted March 29, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 29, 2009 Because the Promenade is mostly below you there, and most people don't come up to that level, very little noise at all from there.
