Check in time for baggage?

Hello all, quick question.....well a few really....

What would be the earliest you could check in your bags on PD, can you check in earlier than the time shown on ticket?

We are down to embark at 12.30pm on 27th Dec, and ideally would like to drive to Wharf 8, drop bags off, drive home (Manly area)and get the ferry back over to the city. Would this be feasible?

Do you have to board at this same time too or later on?

Cheers

Paul.

Hi Paul,

We dropped off our bags at around 11.15am and there were bags there already. Don't know what the earliest time would be though....maybe someone else can let you know. :)

Yes you can leave your luggage (not carry on) and embark later.

You would need to be back by about 2.30 -3.00 at the latest. :D

What you are proposing is very feasible as you can drop your bags off from around 9am I think. When we sailed on Sun Princess earlier this year, we arrived at Wharf 8 at about 10:30, dropped off our bags, checked in (ie did the paperwork and got our shipboard card), and then headed to the city for a few hours. We got back at about 2pm to go through customs etc and board the ship in plenty of time to have a few drinks before sailaway.

Cheers

You can drop your luggage off from 7.30 am. We dropped ours at about 7.45 and then had a sit down and some brekkie before having to line up for check in and then another coffee and a muffin while waiting for boarding to be called.
