Transportation from the Crane during the Jazz Festival

From my searching, I understand that it's about 1 hour each way from the port to the Crane, a day pass is about $13.00 and I can expect that I'll be able to buy that at the hotel if I take a taxi there. Is this all correct?

My questions are:

How much should I expect to pay for the taxi for two people?

Will there be taxis available on site to take us back to the ship at the end of the day?

We'll be there during the Jazz Festival. Should we be worried about that timing to get a cab and get into the Crane?

Thanks!!

I'm guessing, but a taxi should be between US$17-25 each way for up to four in the cab. They tell me that cab rates are about US$25/hr now, but that's the posted rate and it changes (especially if you are wearing a Rolex) LOL :D.

No problem getting a taxi back, they are usually waiting or the captain can hail one for you quickly.

What day are you going to be in port?

The jazz festival moves to a different spot nightly. One night, I believe it is at Crane, but other nights it moves to St. Michael and won't inhibit your travels. A few nights it is in St. Philip which will slow traffic down for you.

Let us know.

I wouldn't worry about timing as the events for the Jazz Festival are in the evenings and you shouldn't have any problem getting a cab from the port to the Crane. I'm not sure it's an hour, but possibly 40min or so (time of day has a lot do to with it). Wait till about 9am to leave the port and come back to the ship before 4pm. The only thing you might want to check, if the Crane is one of the "host" hotels for the festival, they may have alot of people staying there and my restrict the day pass people. Just a thought.
