MamaParrotHead Posted November 10, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2004 We're going with another couple in the spring and looking to book something not OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive (around $150/night). Are there any hotels out there that have 2 queens/allow 4 people per room? Also, any suggestions on where to go that's fun to eat and drink in the evening? Is there anywhere near where the cruiseline (Carnival) departs? Thanks!
irva Posted November 11, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2004 You can go on Priceline and bid for a hotel. In the Miami downtown area I was given the Hyatt for $49 per night in Jan. How about going to South Beach. Good luck!!!

MamaParrotHead Posted November 17, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted November 17, 2004 looking to stay under $100 if at all possible. question about priceline...can you give them a mile radius from downtown where you'd want to stay? or do they kind of book you wherever randomly? TIA!

thereuare Posted November 19, 2004 #8 Share Posted November 19, 2004 can you give them a mile radius from downtown where you'd want to stay? or do they kind of book you wherever randomly? You select a zone which is identified by a shaded region on their maps; your hotel can be anywhere within that zone. The Downtown zone is the one closest to the pier. awatt Posted November 19, 2004 #9 Share Posted November 19, 2004 I would think you would be able to get something at the beach through PL for your budget. I think the beach area has much more to do/see/eat/drink than downtown, where you are limited to Bayside in the immediate vicinity.
snowshh Posted November 22, 2004 #10 Share Posted November 22, 2004 My husband and I love Bayside. A fun place to walk around and eat on the water.
