cruisetobeaches Posted December 27, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2008 Hi again,Does anyone have experience with VIP boarding we are on Liberty Jan 24 and just received an upsell to a suite. We would love to board as early as possible and get our vacation started...thanks We have boarded as early as 10:30, but it depends on the ship. If boarding early, you will not be able to go to your room right away. It most likely will not be ready yet. We just hang out on the Lido deck. iluvdoxies Posted December 27, 2008 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2008 We usually board around 1130--you'll love the VIP check-in.
Rare Tapi Posted December 27, 2008 #4 Share Posted December 27, 2008 Hi again, Does anyone have experience with VIP boarding we are on Liberty Jan 24 and just received an upsell to a suite. We would love to board as early as possible and get our vacation started...thanks We were on the Liberty by 11:00am and we were not the first ones onboard. There were already hundreds of other passengers roaming around the ship when we got on. VIP is awesome because you don't have to stand in line at the security checkpoint, the check-in line, or the line at the gangway to have your picture taken for the Sail & Sign card (make sure to show your card to one of the embarkation agents when you get on the gangway. We were standing in line for 5 minutes before an embarkation agent noticed that I had a platinum card and then she moved us to the front). Even though you'll be onboard early, the cabins are not ready until 1pm, so we went to lunch at Emile's with our luggage and waited until the cabin was ready. Ken076 Posted December 27, 2008 #5 Share Posted December 27, 2008 You board at the same time as everyone else, you just go to the head of the line. Recently boarding seems to be around 11:30AM and the passageways to the cabins are generally closed-off until about 1:30PM. ken
KenMo Posted December 27, 2008 #6 Share Posted December 27, 2008 VIP's board after the wedding(s). Timing depends on how soon the pax from the last cruise debark. Also, if there are immigration issues it'll take longer.
