Silverspoon Posted December 27, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2008 TA called her NCL info line. They are telling her that Garden Villas no longer receive the "complementry" 6 bottles of liquor, soda, bottled water and mixers. Any recent first had reports? This seems like a petty idea to discontinue bar service with the high cost of the A1. We're sailing on the Pearl.

This seems like a petty idea to discontinue bar service with the high cost of the A1. We're sailing on the Pearl. Was on the Gem last week. Were given a card to choose 6 bottles of liquor to keep in room. All mixers, soda, diet and regular, 2 kinds of water were all included. Whatever liquor you do not drink, you can take with you. We also had 3 cappichino machines, 1 in each bedroom. Also tell the butler what you would like in the morning, and at what time, they will set it up wherever you would like it. We had coffee, tea, orange juice, fruit, and pastries every morning. Going on the Dawn, June 07 in GV to Bermuda. Enjoy your trip

d man Posted December 28, 2008 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2008 There was a period of time last year that they took away the liquor perk, but after quite a few complaints, they reinstated the free liquor. enjoy d man

The booze perk was removed temporarily for about a week or two last April/May (2008). After a few complaints from us, it was fairly quickly reinstated. Your TA just received "old" information. Enjoy your cruise!
