csteck Posted April 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2004 Hi everyone. I have booked a panama canal cruise with cruise com. I got a great deal, but I have some concerns. The travel agent told me I could not get travel insurance from RCCL. He said I could buy it later from the same company, but not now because we were getting group rates. My husband and myself have pre-existing conditions and wanted the insurance for this 14 day cruise. Is this common practice? concern two; He discounted the past passenger coupon around $50.00, and says he doesn't need me to mail it to him. It's in the computer and the discount will show on final payment. I'm still happy with my deal, but is this the usual practice? I would like to upgrade, The price we paid is for the best available cabin. Our cabin will be assigned at sailing. I don't want to be on a lower deck at the back of the ship. My Travel agent says I can't upgrade. Is this usual practice? Thanks Carla Carla steckmyer
