I need help with a hotel in Barcelona

You might try the Hotel Colon. Its perfectly located in the Gothic Quarter a short walk from the Ramblas, Metro, and most of the top tourist areas.

I can 2nd the recommention for Hotel Jazz, stayed there pre-cruise in '07 and have just booked the same hotel this week for our May cruise. I got a reduction on the hotel rate that was being offered in December, so I am a happy camper.

We had spanish friends recommend this hotel. It is the NH Duc De La Victoria. It is lovely, inexpensive and its location was close too Las Ramlas...2 min without the noise of being on Las Ramblas.
