RanDe Posted February 18, 2005 #32 Share Posted February 18, 2005 Wonderful lists and choices here! I've printed them off and downloading them for my cruise CD for next year. We have a long drive to Galveston, so these CD's will be perfect to help pass the time. What about "What Happens in Mexico, stays in Mexico", by Toby Keith?:D :D De

parrotcruiser Posted March 4, 2005 #38 Share Posted March 4, 2005 Have a quick suggestion for music junkies like myself. When on any vacation I take my portable DVD along. You can buy speakers to increase volume if not loud enough through player. Anyway, burn CD's to music files on your computer and then transfer them to a CD as data files, not as music files. Newer DVD players will play them no worries. The advantage is you can put around 125 songs on one CD, bring 2 and you have enough music for any mood. new2cruise1 Posted March 15, 2005 #43 Share Posted March 15, 2005 Do you guys bring an IPOD or CD player - or does the ship supply cd players? First time going on a cruise - and don't know what to expect. Judy
steveandjulie Posted March 17, 2005 #44 Share Posted March 17, 2005 We bring a small CD player and a small set of speakers. We don't have an IPOD, but I imagine that would work just as well, if not better (no changing CD's etc). Steve

Thomas M. Bottom Posted April 28, 2005 #50 Share Posted April 28, 2005 I take lots of Pat Metheny (jazz)cd's, & I burn copies of my originals so if they become lost, broken etc. it's no big loss. Relaxing in my lounge chair, closing my eyes, I can smell the tanning oils already! Was in port @ St. Lucia 2 years ago, stopped by the St. Lucia Jazz festival booth (just off pier) & found Pat's drummer Richard Bona was scheduled to be playing there in a couple of weeks w/his band. Had a wonderful chat w/the 2 lovely girls working the counter. They had never heard of Metheny. Upon my return to the ship stopped back in & they were still working so I gave them 2 burned copies of his CDs. Make the world a better place...share some music!
