Kinda sorta Galveston parking question, but really more about crossing the street

Okay, here's the deal. We are staying at a bed and breakfast on the island. She pays for a parking space at the Railroad Museum that allows her visitors to park there during their cruise. She indicated it is only 2 blocks from the terminal. There appears to be an elevated walkway that crosses over Water St (Harborside) right at 25th Street and leads right into the terminal.

Does anybody know is this is correct or am I way off base? We would like to park the car and roll our bags over using this walkway if it is available to the public.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, you're right, there's an elevated walkway. I think it goes from a parking garage to the terminal. As far as whether it's operational since Ike, I'm not sure. But I would imagine it should be.
