happidaze Posted December 30, 2008 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2008 Please could anyone advise me as to whether there are other options to dining in the main restaurant on this ship. We have opted for an 8.30 sitting, but also am keen on eating elsewhere. We also have 2 sons aged 17 and 15, would they ever be able to wear smart jeans onboard at all during the evenings if we choose not to eat in the main restaurant? BrianI Posted December 30, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2008 For a supplement, there is the Gary Rhodes restaurant (£15 per head) and the Terrace Grill (Bit cheaper but cant remember how much). There is also the self service restaurant at no extra cost. There are other snack places during the day like Al Fresco (pizzas etc - open 24hrs) or light snacks in Tiffanys Brian
Pontius Navigator Posted January 3, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2009 We also have 2 sons aged 17 and 15, would they ever be able to wear smart jeans onboard at all during the evenings if we choose not to eat in the main restaurant? Yes but. The but is that they like people to dress appropriately in other parts of the ship as well. On Oceana some bars were restricted to formal dress on formal nights, likewise in the theatre. The central atrium is usually very smart on formal nights too and your sons might feel self-conscious as they would stand out. However if they selected self-service venue, used the pool area and had an evening swim with other teenagers etc then there would be no issues.
