CajunLiner Posted April 6, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2004 This is going to by my family's first cruise. The scheduled embarkation time for Galaxy 11/13/04 begins 2:00 PM for the 6:00 PM departure. However, I've heard that passengers are allowed to board prior to the scheduled time. How does this work? How early may one board? Is anything done differently if you arrive early? JNLROSE Posted April 6, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2004 Justin I can't tell you specifically about the Galaxy, BUT I can tell you "as a rule" they begin boarding around 11 AM to noon depending on how fast the pax disembarked before you! I have been on board before 11AM before but never later than 12:30. Hope this helps! Enjoy your cruise. MSBYRDY Posted April 6, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2004 We use noon as a general rule of thumb. Even if the cabins aren't ready you can drop your carry on's in there and go have a nice lunch and explore the ship. Even Galaxy out of San Juan with an 11 pm departure, we were on by noon.
