Early Embarkation?????

This is going to by my family's first cruise.

The scheduled embarkation time for Galaxy 11/13/04 begins 2:00 PM for the 6:00 PM departure. However, I've heard that passengers are allowed to board prior to the scheduled time. How does this work? How early may one board? Is anything done differently if you arrive early?

Justin I can't tell you specifically about the Galaxy, BUT I can tell you "as a rule" they begin boarding around 11 AM to noon depending on how fast the pax disembarked before you!

I have been on board before 11AM before but never later than 12:30.

We use noon as a general rule of thumb. Even if the cabins aren't ready you can drop your carry on's in there and go have a nice lunch and explore the ship. Even Galaxy out of San Juan with an 11 pm departure, we were on by noon.
