alprice Posted January 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2009 Just need some opinions, traveling with my 8 year old nephew in April. Do you think that is too young and little for stingray city? I have been 2 times and dont recall seeing children that young there. Thanks!!!
Caribbean Sunsets Posted January 1, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2009 On our tour in November, there were 3 or 4 children (not mine) that probably ranged in age from 9-12. They didn't appear to have any problems at all. The crew helped them off and on the boat. If there is a separate snorkle stop that may be a little more difficult for him. Are you booking the excursion through the ship or privately? If privately, email the tour provider and ask their opinion. The stingray tour was a highlight from our trip. I hope he has the chance to experience it. Good Luck!:)
jean-lynd Posted January 1, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 1, 2009 We took my grandson 2 months after his 9th birthday and he loved it. He loved the snorkel stop, the boat ride and the stingrays. My 3 year old grandson stayed on the boat and watched. I hope this helps! Enjoy!
hkolln Posted January 1, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 1, 2009 We took our daughter when she was 10 to stingray city. The sandbar is not deep. You can stand up in it and it comes about to your waist. Kids were all over when we went.
