CruisinEurope Posted January 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2009 DH and I like to read at night - and with the kiddos asleep inside, we were hoping to go out on the balcony and read. Then it occurred to me that there may not be lights out there... in which case I'll pack our travel lights. Anyone know? Thanks!
carontori Posted January 2, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2009 Always had lights on our balconies. The only restriction was when we were in the Owners suite on the Star. We were not allow to have lights on at night becauase our cabin was directly below the bridge and would cause visual difficultly for the officers. Grandpaul Posted January 2, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 2, 2009 I'm also not sure if those lights are bright enough to read under. I'm not sure becaue I'm always checking the lights in the casino.
Travelfor4 Posted January 2, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2009 We had no problem reading on our balcony at night. Although, we don't use reading glasses and such. Don't know if that might have a factor in brightness.
carontori Posted January 2, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 2, 2009 I use reading glasses and had no problem. If your reading lights are compact you could always take them as backup.
