Hello everyone, we are booked on the Sea Princess out of Barbados Jan 24. I can't seem to find much info on this ship. Has anyone recently been on the Sea Princess? How was she?

Went on her in July and she was in great shape, really nice ship with plenty of ammenities.

You will have a great cruise on her.

Cruised twice on her = December 05 and January 07. Loved the ship, was easy to get around, lovely fittings and both times cabins were lovely.

 

However, I have read somewhere it is due for a refurb later this year?

We are on same cruise as you and looking forward to some warm sun. We have cruised twice on Sea Princess before (In fact our last 2 cruises) so it can't be too bad! However the reason for our cruises are the destinations and SP happens to be on the right routes. The ship is getting on a bit now, but is in good condition and well maintained.It is a SUN class ship so similar to Dawn etc.,so by modern standards not too big.The cabins are perhaps a little compact but all you need is there. Something to be aware of ,which might please you or not,is the passengers will mostly be British as it is marketed strongly here in UK. The SP was formerly P & O Adonia.

Anyway I am sure you will have an enjoyable ,if busy time.
