Alaska - Much difference between mid July or August?

From your experience, is there much of a difference in weather between July 15 and August 15 for the Inside Passage RT from Seattle? :confused:

No! Not much difference. But it is the luck of the draw when it comes to Alaska weather. We have gone two times in early July & once in early August and we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather everytime time. July '03 we only had rain in Ketchikan. This last August it was 85 degrees in Fairbanks at 8:00pm !!..and sunny everyday of the cruise.

We went the first week in June of this year and the weather was absolutely beautiful. My understanding was that almost the entire summer was this way for this year. Not always the case though.
