Latitudes room?

I have'nt sailed on ncl in a while, but I don't remember a room for past cruisers, is this new, I sail on the jewel in 12 days, I would love a place to stop by and grab a drink or a snack!:cool::cool::cool:

I believe it was created for 2.0 although I can't swear to it. 2.0 was rolled out in April or May of this year. I do know for sure there is one on the Star and on the Pearl and I am fairly sure there will be one on the Jewel for you as well.

I was disapointed in the Latitudes room on the Dawn in September. I thought it would be a nice place to stop and chat with people but it turned out to be a "quiet" place that people were sitting in and reading. Maybe it was just the people on my cruise.

 

The good thing was they always had a big tray of cookies, even when they weren't available in the buffet area. :D

It appears that in the newer ships, what was labelled as the "Life Style Room" has become the "Latitudes Lounge". So... check the deck plans and make the substituion yourself.

We just were on the Jade and the latitudes room is just a quiet room that used to be used for programs and meetings. It was always crowded. They do offer coffee/tea service. It's right off the pool area on Deck 12.

Just back from the Gem. The latitudes room is right beside the card room and most used this room for games, reading, etc. The only real difference between it and the card/game room is the room is always stocked with treats (cookies/danish) coffee, hot water for tea, and juice. There was nothing to stop anyone from using this room. But it is a nice retreat and we used it everyday, mostly for card playing.

It will be so nice if they have juice. I have three kids and getting juice is like pulling teeth sometimes. LOL ... I will be on board soon so I will have to check it out.
