tincansailor Posted January 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2009 We'll be there second week of March. Whereas we are leaning towards using the NCL sponsored excursion to make sure we don't miss the departure time, it's more expensive and sure to be more crowded than a private tour. Does anyone have any experience with Island Marketing? If so, please share your experience.
DonMar Posted January 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2009 We booked through Island Marketing which uses Belize Cruise Excursions (Feb 07). They were very good. They were very helpful and flexible. I was able to push the start time up via e-mail on board ship. We paid the deposit on-line and paid cash at the end of the tour. The ship excursion will be more money and will be more crowded, but it is a long trip and the risk of missing the last tender is real - but from all accounts on this board, everyone has made it back. Our private tour was fantastic. We left very early in the AM. We were on the second tender. We were the only people (two of us and our guide) on the tour and at the site - WOW! We had the whole place - it was wonderful. We knew the risks and were willing to take them (we brought all docs with us - just in case). We made it back with time to shop.
