Time to go to st john? In port 1-7 pm?

Did an island tour (Godfreys) a year ago in St. Thomas. This time was going to St. John and Cinnamon Bay on our own. Is there enough time? Originally was in port noon to 7 pm, but now changed to 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm? If not, any other suggestions?

You'll probably be docking at Havensight. You might want to take a cab over to Crown Bay Marina (not Crown Bay DOCK where cruiseships will be!), and take a very short ferry ride over to Honeymoon Beach for a quiet, relaxing beach afternoon. By that time, the food concession should be open, so you won't have to worry about snacks/drinks. You can Google for the ferry schedule.

Or you could take a cab to Emerald Beach which isn't too far from town. There are several restaurants there. This option would probably give you the most beach time. Emerald Beach, though, isn't known for snorkeling, though there are lobsters in the water!

Hey, bccruiser, come and join our roll call on the roll call boards!

We are planning to take the ferry to St. John from Charlotte Amalie, then we'll catch the ferry back to Red Hook. Not a lot of time to spend in St. John, but we just love it there, so even a couple of hours is worth the trip.
