Itinerary arrival time?

Hi there!

 

One of the itineraries I'm looking at shows an arrival time in Anchorage on the last day of the cruise as 12:30 a.m. - as in just after midnight. Is that right? What time are you expected to be off the ship that day? In thinking about flight times, I don't really need to sit in the Anchorage airport for 12 hours! :-) On the other hand, if we exit the ship immediately, that probably means a hotel night. Help?!

That is the time the ships gets into port. They won't start unloading passengers until 8 or so that morning. Don't panic! They don't expect you to entertain yourself at midnight.

It will take you about 1 1/2 hours to reach the airport from Whittier so make sure your flight home is not too early.:)

So that 1.5 hour ride - if I call Princess and ask for that transfer - even if I don't fly through Princess, it will be arranged for me and all I have to do is get on a bus...right? Transfers - no matter what the vacation - always stress me out the most. I hate being stranded someplace I've never been, alone, with luggage. Ugh. Thanks!!!

For disembarking you will be putting your luggage (except maybe a carry on with what you need the next morning) outside your door the night before you disembark and it will be at the airport waiting for you. You will be given a time to disembark by Princess which has to do with the time of your flight. This will be the info you have already given Princess. You will load the bus and they will take you to the airport to get your luggage. It is very easy!:)
