racepoint Posted January 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2009 Looking at a deck plan, can someone tell me what's at the very front of Deck 10, Norway Deck? I booked cabin 0101, last cabin before this large space, and I'm wondering if this is a deck area that the public can access or what it is.

arubaaruba Posted January 9, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2009 What will be a problem in that cabin, is the fact that the teens program uses the space above you untill the weeee hours of the morning! We were in that stateroom in August and had major issues with that on the last night. The kids use the gym area above you and run around and God knows what else up there. racepoint Posted January 11, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted January 11, 2009 UGH! I only booked that cabin 'cause I was on the phone with the travel agent and she had NCL on the other line. I was on the phone because I originally booked a GTY and after talking with her, realized that was stupid to book a guarantee because there are still a zillion cabins in this class available as we sail in 3 wks. She convinced me to pick something. The other cabin(s) she offered me were above the casino, which I knew would be noisy. This cabin, on Deck 10, was the only one on that deck that was still available. That said, do you think that the teen club will be a noise issue at the end of January??? Maybe not as much of issue for you now that you mention that you are going in January. It was an issue for us as we sailed in August so there were probably more teens on board in August than there would be in January. I am pretty laid back and not much bothers me on vacation-but they were very loud. The fitness area was above us and they had these huge "workout balls" and the kids were playing tag with them all over the deck above and also running up and down the stairs as well. I would recommend that you go directly to reception the very first time it happens and nip it in the bud. I kinda just lived with it and honestly the last night was the only night it really got on my nerves because we had to be up early the next day.
