Rome hotel through Princess

We are going with friends on the Venice-Rome cruise and they would like to use Princess hotel "Marriott Grand" to simply this whole bookings regarding transfers, etc. Has anyone stayed there or have an opinion on this hotel and location? Thanks,

Be aware that Princess charges per person for any hotel package and transfers. The location of the Marriott Grand Flora is great but you should price the hotel directly through Marriott (it will be a per room rate; not per person). As far as the "transfers" if the four of you are on the same flights, staying at the same hotel a private transfer will wind up costing much less than with Princess. Make sure to mention that you will be 4 adults and let him know that you read about his service on the cruise critic website from Gail.

I just did the "math" for our stay in Rome June 13. Marriott 339E per room AAA rate; 399E regular rate.

Private shuttle for 4 with Roma Shuttle 51E (from airport to hotel); private shuttle for 4 from hotel to the ship 150E. Compare this pricing to Princess which is per person. Hope this helps. Gail
